Introduction to Mindfulness
This short course over a period of 4 weeks for 90 minutes each week, covers some core mindfulness meditation and movement practices and includes time for dialogue and discussion.
Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction is a structured 8 week course, which takes participants through training in mindfulness meditation and gentle mindful movement exercises. Alongside this, the course involves discussion, dialogue and group activities of how we can use mindfulness to help us deal with difficulties, stress and pain and how we can bring mindfulness practices into our everyday lives. MBSR is an evidence based approach shown be beneficial inmanaging a range of physical and mental difficulties such as chronic stress, anxiety disorders, chronic pain , fibromyalgia. Participants attend a 2.5 hour group class once a week for 8 weeks as well as one full day sessionin between week 6 and 7.
